The thunder cracks above me,
lighting ignites the sky, and
the rain pours it's tears upon me.
When I was child, I used to run away.
I always feared the storm.
I used to run to someone,
crying to be held, kept safe.
Too soon I realized, there was no one.
They all left me behind, found a way to escape the storm.
So as I spent my lonely time, I learned many things:
One, I couldn't hide from the rain.
No matter how far I traveled away,
or different roads I would take,
the rain followed me.
Two, if I kept running I'd waste my whole life away.
That's when I decided to dance in the rain.
